1. How much does it cost?
The weekly rate for After the Bell is $30 and the daily rate is $10. It is, therefore, only beneficial to utilize the daily rate if attending less than 3 day out of the week.
2. When does the program begin and end?
It begins on the open date of each school year and operates on the same calendar as Sunburst Elementary School (Washington Elementary School District). After the Bell begins Monday through Friday at school release time and ends at 6 PM.
3. Does my child have to enroll for all 5 days?
A child may enroll for less than 5 days if specified at the time of registration.
4. When and where do I register my child?
You can register your child at the front office of Christs Community Church. The front office is located near the South parking lot of the church and is open Monday through Friday 8:30 AM till 4:30 PM.
5. How do I pay?
After the Bell accepts cash, check, and money order. Please make checks payable to After the Bell. Payments are due at the registration table each Monday of the week that the student attends. Payments received after 6 PM. on Wednesday will be charged a $10.00 late fee for that week.
6. Who will be supervising my child?
Children attending After the Bell will be supervised by a staff that includes certified teachers and volunteers. All After the Bell staff has completed background checks and screening.
7. How will my child be assisted academically?
Students will receive homework help on a daily basis. They will also receive tutoring services provided by pre-service teachers attending Arizona State University twice weekly. Tutors will assess the students progress, communicate with their teachers, and provide tailor-fit lessons which target areas of difficulty.
8. Will a snack be provided?
Yes, a nutritious snack is provided daily.
